About me
Mary Fennel is an abstract artist who creates earth-inspired paintings and botanical artworks. Some works are embedded with dried flowers, dirt, and other organic materials, where nature becomes both subject and medium. Others rely on texture and color alone to evoke the calm, grounded, and balanced feeling we get from being in nature. Mary intends to distill something essential from the natural world and bring it indoors, where it can offer the same restorative effect as a walk in the woods or a moment in the garden. She currently resides in the hills of Northwest Arkansas, working from a home studio nestled in the country — close to the woods, fields, and quiet that find their way into everything she makes.
